THS BOP General Meeting

Monday September 10, 2007

7:38 pm – 9:12pm

Meeting called to order @ 7:38 pm and the agenda was accepted.  The minutes were read by Sherri and accepted.

TREASURY REPORT:

Desiree was not in attendance so Patti gave treasury report.  We have $2100.00 in Parents account, $4174.27 in Bingo account, and $302.14 in Savings account.  $376.02 received from Rockies, however, the check went to THS instead of the BOP .  Trudy is working with the school to get funds returned to us.

COMMUNICATIONS:

Mrs. Steeno is currently working on a newsletter to go to all parents.

Desiree Sutter resigned as Treasurer, however, she is staying on as Bronco Chair and Chaperone/Uniform  Chair.

OLD BUSINESS:

The Mark Wood concert will be paid by CB and then reimbursed by BOP.  Northglenn High School was invited to clinic and concert and will help pay.  The amount is under negotiations.  We will also ask for donations at the concert. 

BRONCOS:

Desiree has taken chair permanently.  Andy needs to update web page with new volunteers.  We still need more parent volunteers for upcoming games.  The kids are allowed to be money manager at games.

BEC:

Teri contacted the BEC.  Rob is still out of town and they will be in contact with us soon with upcoming dates.

T-SHIRTS:

4 designs were submitted and voted on by students.  One was chosen and reviewed.   The design was revised and voted on.  Parents could place orders tonight and also at the Mark Wood Concert.

WAYS & MEANS:

Little Ceasars orders due on Tuesday 9/11/07 with delivery on 9/19/07 @ 11 am.   We will sell Macy’s “Shop for the Cause” cards for $5.00.  There is no up front cost to BOP for this fundraiser .  We need to return all unsold cards, so it was suggested to hand out to parents/Board Members only.

Candy sells begin on 10/01/07.

We have permission to do can recycling with entire school, however, we need to submit a proposal on how the program will be monitored and give to Ms. Walters first.

Buttons with your students picture was discussed as a fundraiser.  The buttons would cost $5.00 each.  More info to come.

ACQUISITIONS:

The Steeno’s will provide water for compititions.  There was no update on corporate sponsors.  Mr. Frazier is still researching grants.

NEW BUSINESS:

Janet Frazier was nominated and unanimously voted on as Treasurer.

Solicitating non-participating students/parents was discussed.  We will seek permission on requiring participation in fund raising or charging a fee for non-participants.

Chad, Liz and Jarrod were the top point earners over the summer and were awarded with concert and Blockbuster tickets.
